(More customer reviews)I had been looking for a way to adjust my car's tire pressure at home for some time. Initially I thought that I would need a plug-in compressor. But then I found this product, which is just perfect for the purpose, does not take up much space, and does not depend on an electric outlet.
The tube of the pump is wider then a bicycle pump would be, thereby more air goes into tire with each push. For my car it takes about 5 pushes to increas e the tire pressure by 1psi. Admitted, this involves some exercise, but it is not any slower than an eletric compressor would be (counting the time to take it of the shelf, plugging it in, etc).
There are two reasons that I do not give it 5 stars. First, I would have preferred a pump with an in-built gauge (I could not find any that is recommended for car tires). Second the piston is not very well secured at the top. So one has to be careful to avoid dragging it out of the tube, when lifting it up. Anyway it is a great product for the price.
