Rol-Air 2 Horsepower 5.3 Gallon Bull Compressor FC2002HBP6
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I bought the HBP6 to use for my home remodel - nailers, including flooring, etc.
Day 2 the unit shut down and tripped the thermal breaker and would not run after resetting.
Phone support helped me diagnose the problem as a piece of assembly debris (small chunk of paint or glue) being stuck in the check valve seat so I was able to clear it myself.
Day 3 another problem, at the same location, the plastic overpressur e line exploded from the fitting because it was installed without a metal insert inside the line (only had the ferrule). Phone support said they'd ship me the parts but they didn't ship them overnight, so I had to go rent another compressor for the weekend.
I hope that after this issue is resolved I'll get good service from this unit. But be forewarned.
I try to buy tools that last a long time - that's why I didn't buy a compressor from the big box stores, but I'm not sure my strategy has paid off.
