(More customer reviews)I believe most refurbished items have been returned by a buy... generally without anything wrong with it and so sold as refurbished. You might think that means the item had something wrong with it and now that problem has been corrected. You might even think you are getting something that has "all the bugs worked out of it" and brand new. The brand new part may be right but I think this company Campbell -Hausfeld doesn't give a care about their products. I had to return a refurb as it was DOA... no air pressure and louder than my giant garage compressor. Then I went to a pancake compressor (new... same company)... instructions say "break in with regulator valve turned clockwise all the way" for 5 min... NO regulator... and for an airbrush!! 100 psi. Thankfully that one didn't work either... no air pressure at all after 15 min of running and so darn loud it was running in my basement and my wife was worried I might interrupt my neighbor's dinner (100 ft away in another closed house). I will keep my eyes open for this brand Cambell-Hausfeld and run the other way. No reflection on Amazon by the way...
